Did Dave really eat the worm? If he did, why did he do it. We wrote this article to tell you the real story. We interviewed some people (and worms) to help tell the story.
Zac said, “I believe that Dave ate the worm because I’ve seen him crawling in the dirt, making chomping noises. I have eaten a worm, if gummy worms count.”
Adam Powell said, “I don’t think that Dave ate a real worm. I think that the worm was either fake or gummy. Yes, I have truthfully eaten a real worm.”
Emily Rainey said, “ I think Dave really did eat the worm because I saw it move. No, I have never eaten a worm.”
We had Zac translate between a worm and us.
Grannie Gertrude, the worm, said, “I am infuriated by my brother’s death. My anger is the heat of 1,000 suns. We worms are forming a rebellion of 10,000 worms to attack Dav3e and swallow him whole. Watch out, Dave!!!”
Susie Smith said, “Well I was the cook in the skit and I put the worms on the plate, so I can tell you that it was a real worm.
Lauren Casto said, “Yes, I think it was a real worm. I think he really ate the worm because he didn’t spit it back out afterwords.
Jordan Lallemont said, “ I know he ate the worm because he told the cast of the play, it was true.
Dave said, “
I ate Willy the Worm because it opens a door to talk to people about Jesus. When they ask me if I really ate the worm, I say yes but it’s nothing compared to what Jesus did for us. People don’t believe I ate it, they can believe anything they want. I really, really, ate the worm. And so we conclude our story about how Dave ate the worm and why.
